Governor Kathy Hochul announced a record $2.2 billion investment in water infrastructure projects across New York State for the fiscal year 2024. This funding supports 269 vital projects, improving drinking water and sewer systems.
The Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) leads this effort, providing financial assistance to local governments. EFC President Maureen A. Coleman highlighted that these funds help communities enhance water quality and public health.
The new Project Impact Dashboard allows the public to track these investments. This initiative reflects New York’s commitment to clean, safe water for all residents. “Our state is dedicated to ensuring every New Yorker has access to clean water,” said Governor Hochul.
