If you’re wondering what’s opening in the boxy building erected along Simpson Ferry Road, we have the answer.
Starbucks will open at the 2,400-square-foot standalone shop at the South Hampden Shopping Center’s southeast corner. It will join tenants including AMC Classic Camp Hill 12 theater, Aldi, Big Lots and Lower Allen Diner.
The coffee giant received land development plan approvals last year from Hampden Township. The restaurant at 3431 Simpson Ferry Road will feature a drive-thru.
Starbucks didn’t respond when reached for comment about an opening date.
Shopping center owner Presbyterian Development LLC worked with the township to change the complex’s zoning from industrial general to commercial general to allow for more retailers to join the complex.
Dozens of Starbucks operate in central Pennsylvania. Another one is planned for the proposed Beltway Commons along the Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township.
