Here’s How to Find the Secret Amazon Warehouse With Deals Up to 60% Off

Must read

Our team’s deals editors spend many hours sifting through virtually endless offerings on Amazon. While the mega-retailer tends to drop discounts around major moments throughout the year (like holiday weekends or its ever-popular summer savings event, Prime Day), there’s another way to find consistent sales—you just have to know where to look.

Enter: Amazon Warehouse. If you’re not familiar with this site section, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about shopping in the hidden tab to find the best deals. We’re also sharing the best sales available right now, to give you a peek in real time at the types of savings we’re talking about.

What is Amazon Warehouse?

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when someone returns a product to Amazon, this is your answer. Amazon takes pre-owned, open-box, and used products and (after putting them through a quality assurance check that we’ll break down later) re-lists them for sale, usually at a significantly discounted price. These make up the Amazon Warehouse selections.

How does Amazon Warehouse work?

Once items are returned, Amazon puts them through a 20-point quality assurance test before determining their grade and price. To ensure you’re getting an Amazon-approved product that’s part of the grading system below, the used product has to be listed as “sold by” and “shipped from” Amazon.com or “Fulfilled by Amazon.”

Here’s a breakdown of the grading system:

  • Renewed: Amazon’s version of refurbished. All renewed products have been inspected and tested by Amazon to work and look as good as new. The item should have minimal to no signs of wear and comes with the Amazon Renewed Guarantee, which gives you 90 days to request a replacement or refund.
  • Used – Like New: The item is in fine working condition, but the packaging may have minor damage.
  • Used – Very Good: The item has seen limited use and remains in great working condition. The packaging may be damaged, or the product may come repackaged.
  • Used – Good: The item shows wear but is still in good working condition. The packaging may be damaged, or the product may come repackaged.
  • Used – Acceptable: The item is fairly worn but functions properly. The packaging may be damaged, or the product may come repackaged.

Pre-owned items listed as shipped and sold by Amazon are backed by the 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee, which, like we mentioned, means you have 90 days to get a replacement product or refund if your purchase does not work properly. Since everything listed as sold and shipped by Amazon has been professionally inspected, tested, and cleaned by the retailer and given one of the above grades. It’s important to treat any purchase of used gear with a healthy dose of skepticism and caution, but these can help put your mind at ease and give you the best idea of what you’re getting.

How Do I find Amazon Warehouse?

There’s more than one way to find this section. From a desktop you have two options. 1. In the gray drop-down of the search bar, you’ll find “Amazon Warehouse” as an option. Once you’ve clicked on that, you can search for a product or brand in the Warehouse by typing it into the search bar, or you can click the magnifying glass and go to the Amazon Warehouse homepage. 2. You can click on “Today’s Deals” at the top left corner of Amazon’s homepage and find “Amazon Warehouse” in the gray bar directly to the right of “Today’s Deals.”

If you’re using the Amazon app, just type “Amazon Warehouse” into the search bar, hit enter, and you’ll be brought to the homepage.

Keep in mind that Amazon will show you the new product price by default on each listing, not the Warehouse price. To find the discounted price, look for the “New & Used” tab under the “Add to Cart” button, which will feature options shipped and sold by Amazon, as well as third-party sellers.

Below, we’ve listed the prices for some of the top used tools, tech, and outdoor gear options we’ve found to give you a sense of the steep discounts we’re talking about. We’ve also been seeing a lot of deals on drills, stud finders, and leaf blowers from top brands like DeWalt, Craftsman, and Milwaukee you can shop now. Note that prices can change frequently as stock fluctuates and based on the condition of the individual product, so the dollar amount may differ slightly on the Amazon page from what we have listed here.
