Ah…September. The first month of falls brings cooler weather, fun activities, beautiful leaves changing colors and…shopping! While I enjoy elements of all four seasons, fall is far and away my favorite for all of the reasons listed above, and I can’t wait to begin wearing the many different boots and jackets in my closet, while also decorating my house with pumpkins galore. Aside from my own shopping, I polled multiple PureWow editors to see what is in their cart this month, and there is a mixture of nifty items to choose from including these super stylish Steve Madden Lizette Cognac Suede Knee Boots ($200), which are in-line with the fall suede trends starting to pop up everywhere, and this Orvis Boiled Cashmere Sweater ($198), a breezy, stylish choice for the cooler months ahead.

Read on to see some more of our top editors’ picks for this month.

Amazon

Affiliate director Pamela Masin says this is currently her favorite loungewear set to relax in. “I have been living in this two-piece lounge set from Amazon,” she says adding: “It’s super comfy while still being put-together enough that I don’t feel like I’m wearing my pajamas out of the house during morning coffee and bagel runs. While the cropped pant isn’t quite as short on my 5’2 frame as they are on the model, they hit right at the ankle, which is a win in my book when I’m used to most lounge pants being a puddle of fabric at the bottom.”

Orvis

Editor Abby Hepworth has her eyes on this cute cashmere sweater for the season. “I recently got this cardigan and it’s all I want to wear now. The boiled cashmere is incredibly soft but feels more durable, so I don’t have to be quite so precious with the material. And the cut hits right at my hips for a super flattering silhouette,” she says. This cozy sweater offers a roomy fit and comes in five different versatile colors.

Steve Madden

Senior commerce editor Stephaine Maida is getting in on the fall suede trend with these stylish knee-high Steve Madden boots. “I’m loving the brown suede trend for the season, and since I’m in the market for some new knee-high boots, I have my eye on this pair from Steve Madden. So sleek and chic!”

Kurt Geiger

I’m a sneaker girlie, so I picked up these low-top sneakers to replace an old pair in my closet that was wearing thin. The quality is beautiful (it’s made with pebble grain cow leather), and I love the futuristic color options available. The $175 price tag is actually a major steal for sneakers of this quality, as you typically have to pay way more for pebble grain cow construction. I chose the “Black Other” colorway, but I will definitely be getting the “Pink Combination” shade next.

Merit

I don’t wear makeup nearly as much as I used to, which is why this Welcome Set from Merit is perfect. It gives you all the basics with a skin tint, bronzer and flush balm for your cheeks, plus a blending brush for extra measure. Oh, and there’s a mini skin serum included as a free product in the mix as well! I also added the brands’ Clean Lash Lengthening Mascara ($26) for extra measure as I’m always in need of a replacement, so I’m good to go for a while!

Anthropologie

Assistant commerce editor Natalie LaBarbera is in an early Halloween mood with this pick from Anthropologie.”I think it might be time for me to finally give in and scoop up some of these adorable glasses from Anthropologie. I’ve been seeing them *all over* my Instagram feed, and can’t resist anymore,” she says adding: “I adore the seasonal designs but they also come in tons of other options that will work year round.”

Sezane

Associate SEO editor Marissa Wu also plans on grabbing this comfy jumper in another color. “I take all my style advice from the French, and they’ve shown me a girl can never have too many neutrals and too many turtlenecks. I already have this in black, but I love the silhouette so much, I’m getting it in cream,” she raves. “Note, it’s SO form fitted, I’d recommend sizing up, but it is true-to-size, just depends on how tight you want it.”

Brooklinen

I’ve been in desperate need of a new blanket I can cozy up in while sipping my marshmallow hot chocolate this winter, and this throw blanket is everything and more. It’s thick enough to keep you warm, but not enough to the point of making you feel overheated, and I can assure that you’ll end up falling asleep as soon as you put it on. I chose the cream color, but there are two more options (camel brown and grey), if you are looking for a darker color.

Best Buy

My mom is a virtual teacher, and her laptop broke unexpectedly, so I went ahead and gave her one of her Christmas gifts early, which is this beautiful Surface Laptop from Microsoft. This laptop is as tech savvy as you can get as it has built-in A.I. capabilities, a recall service where you can find emails and documents instantly and a reasonably sized screen with crystal-clear graphics. She loves it and says it’s the best laptop she’s ever had!

Bagllet

This stunning bag is also on Wu’s shopping list this month. “I’ve been carrying a medium bag from this brand all summer and am impressed by the quality. It’s been wet and stuffed into other bags, and generally I have not treated it with kid gloves. It also doesn’t scuff easily. I have been looking for a structured, neutral workbag for my closet and think this might be a good fit.” Made with high-quality leather, the internal main compartment is spacious enough to store smaller items like your phone, keys and wallet, and the bag comes in three aesthetically pleasing hues.

Sezane

These trousers pair exceptionally well with the Charly Jumper according to Wu, who says, “I’m also trying to add more light neutrals to my closet. I don’t really wear jeans—I’m a trousers gal and I love Sézane pants! They are made for tall people definitely, but I’ve tailored them easily!”

Chaco

I’m already starting to think ahead to what shoes I’ll be wearing on my feet come winter, and I’m really loving these Canvas Clogs from Chaco because they are water-resistant and accompanied with a soft fleece lining to keep your feet nice and warm. They are also super cute and can be worn with a variety of jeans, joggers and chinos. I picked the shade dusty olive, but you can also go with the plum color if that is more your style.

July

I’ve been having a strong desire to go on a solo trip to Paris (I think it’s a turning 30 crisis), and despite not having a ticket purchased, I’ve already gotten luggage to carry my stuff in. I have to say that I’m really impressed by this carry-on as it gives you 20 liters of packing space (plus an expandable zipper for when you need more room), along with other neat features like silent wheels, a stain-proof laundry bag and a Y-Strap compression system to keep everything in place. Traveling can be stressful enough, so I’m happy to know my life will be made slightly easier thanks to this suitcase. It is a bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it!

Amazon

Wu also recommends getting this makeup kit if you plan on traveling during the holiday season. “I’ve tried this makeup kit and I do love the portability! It’s so compact and also refillable. I also find the formulas suitable for dry skin too!”

Velous

I’m getting back on my workout game, which means I’m going to need a good recovery slide (unfortunately, I have flat feet that have taken a beating through the years from playing sports and working as a server). These offer just the right amount of cushioning and protection. These slides literally glide onto my feet and feel so amazing that I don’t want to take them off! I got the black color, but I’m definitely going back for the navy soon!

Shein

I’ve long been a fan of Shein’s affordability and Monse’s gothic couture styling. This blazer checks the boxes on both. I absolutely love the punk-like waist belt and the structured shoulders as it instantly elongates your torso. Plus, the blazer is super versatile, and can be paired with a range of jeans, skirts and dress pants.

Minor History

My sister hates purses, so I snagged this chic mini phone bag for her to carry to work. It offers a completely hands-free design with its extended crossbody strap, and comes in four different colors. Plus, the quality is amazing! I definitely recommend buying if you dislike regular bags (or just simply need a phone holder).
