The IDF will not tolerate Hezbollah’s presence in Syria, IDF Spokesperson R. Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a live address Thursday evening.
He noted the increasing amount of rockets being launched at Israel from Syrian territory. “We will attack any attempt to move weapons from Syria to Hezbollah, and any terrorist infrastructure in Syria.”
Hagari spoke about the seven recently fallen soldiers from the Golani Brigade, saying Hezbollah terrorists killed them in combat. The incident is under investigation.
Hagari showed an illustration of the Lebanese town Kafr Kila, located a mere 500 meters from Israel’s Metulla.
“The village was used by Hezbollah terrorists as a terror base and launching points for the Radwan force,” he explained, showing the many terror instigators that Hezbollah had built within the village.
“The IDF is currently operating in areas of southern Lebanon that we have never been in before,” Hagari said, revealing images of Hezbollah’s infrastructure.
Hezbollah’s Beirut supply
Hagari spoke about the hundreds of Hezbollah terror compounds that have been destroyed since the beginning of Operation Northern Arrows in September, and many weapons have been seized and destroyed.
“We have destroyed most of Hezbollah’s production sites and weapons warehouses in Beirut,” he announced.
