H-E-B is stepping up its game in Houston—and it’s about so much more than just groceries.
The company has opened a brand-new 100,000-square-foot eCommerce Fulfillment Center (eFC) in the city, marking a huge leap in its expansion of online shopping services.

The facility is designed to support H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery services across Houston and surrounding cities, offering a faster and more efficient way to fulfill orders.
Expanding beyond groceries
This move is part of H-E-B’s broader strategy to expand its eCommerce capabilities and offer more than just groceries. In addition to food, the center will handle a variety of other products, including home goods, pet supplies, and beauty items. This aligns with the company’s goal of becoming a one-stop shop for Texans, catering to a wide range of customer needs.

Innovative technology and increased efficiency
H-E-B says the new fulfillment center is equipped with advanced automation technology to improve order accuracy and speed, enabling H-E-B to better serve the increasing demand for online shopping. The center’s operations will help reduce aisle congestion in stores and improve product availability, benefiting both in-store shoppers and those who prefer to shop online.

Continued expansion across Texas
This is the third eCommerce fulfillment center that H-E-B has opened in Houston and the ninth overall in Texas since 2018.
The company has plans to continue expanding its fulfillment network across the state to support the growing demand for Curbside and Home Delivery services.
H-E-B is also hiring for full-time and part-time positions at the Houston facility. The facility’s opening also marks a community-focused initiative, as H-E-B donated $5,000 to Energy Institute High School to support its robotics program.
