Guth & Associates working with buyer on downtown properties

Must read

CHAMPAIGN — An unnamed buyer plans to take ownership of three Champaign properties that were previously owned by Downtown Champaign Holdings LLC and were recently involved in a foreclosure lawsuit.

Guth & Associates is representing a buyer who has reached an agreement to purchase the following properties: 804 N. Neil St., 106-108 S. Neil St. and 111-113 N. Walnut St.

“While we cannot disclose the buyer at this time, we want to assure all groups who may have an existing contract at Carmon’s for an event, our intent is to honor those contracts,” the real estate firm shared in a social media post Friday afternoon. “We ask that you give us a few days to work through the paperwork but a deal has been reached. The buyer is committed to Downtown Champaign and its continued growth.”

First Mid Bank & Trust and Downtown Champaign Holdings LLC reached an agreement for a consent foreclosure on the three properties in October.
