MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) — Today, city leaders in Middletown broke ground on what’s described as an “epicenter” for shopping, dining and more between Dayton and Cincinnati.

This groundbreaking occurred alongside Warren and Butler County officials on the $200 million development called “Renaissance Pointe.”

“Essentially the heart of Middletown was always west of I-75 and it got the most attention. So as this land became available out here, it became developed developable. We realized that there’s opportunities out here,” said Middletown City Manager Paul Lolli.

The 50-acre campus will host stores, restaurants, entertainment centers and hotels. Around 18 of those acres have been claimed by incoming businesses.

Those leading the project say the space will take shape over the next seven to 10 years.
