Advisory, tax and accounting firm Grassi has announced a “strategic combination” with a Massachusetts-based accounting, tax and consulting firm.
Grassi is integrating Anstiss & Co. P.C., headquartered in Chelmsford, Mass., under its corporate umbrella.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1964, Anstiss & Co., has been providing a wide range of accounting and financial services to family-owned businesses, nonprofits and high-net-worth individuals.
“Our firms share a mutual commitment to client service excellence and our people,” Louis Grassi, Grassi’s CEO and founder, said in a company statement. “As we continue to expand our footprint, we prioritize aligning with firms that share our vision for delivering tailored client experiences and growth-focused solutions. This represents another step forward in Grassi’s commitment to being wherever our clients need us most.”
Six partners and 50 professionals and staff from Anstiss will join Grassi. Raymond Anstiss, Jr., will remain as managing partner of the Chelmsford office and assume the new position of Grassi’s Boston market leader. The Anstiss team will operate under the Grassi brand.
“This is an exciting next chapter for our team,” Anstiss, Jr. said in the statement. “Joining Grassi will enable us to deliver even greater value to our clients and provide our team members with opportunities for growth and development on a greater scale, all while preserving the strong relationships and personalized service that are the foundation of our firm.”
Earlier this month, Grassi announced it joined PrimeGlobal, a worldwide association of advisory and accounting firms with more than 300 independent member firms in over 113 countries with a combined revenue of $5.4 billion.
Headquartered in Jericho, Grassi has offices in Manhattan, Ronkonkoma, White Plains, Park Ridge, N.J., Needham, Mass., Palm Beach, Fla., and Rome, Italy. Founded in 1980, Grassi provides accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to several industries, including architecture and engineering, construction, franchises, healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit, real estate and more.
