Attention has now moved away from the Galaxy Unpacked to the upcoming Made by Google event next month on August 13th. One of the most anticipated product releases is the Pixel 9 series, with many of its specifications given away by recent reports about the model. We are expecting some major changes this time around and the incorporation of some new advanced AI features. The only mystery left was about the price of the new lineup, although it was assumed there would be a price hike given the AI element added up and the previous costing pattern. With the recent leak, we have the pricing for the European market.

Google surprised everyone by announcing an earlier Made by Google event and changing its usual Pixel release pattern. With the event being merely a month away, the latest report gives away pricing information for the European market. Dealabs presented the leaked prices, colors, and configurations for users in France.
The latest news confirms that we will get four Pixel models, which matches previous speculations. Google might rename its foldable model, and instead of Google Pixel Fold 2, it could be going ahead with Google Pixel 9 Pro. We expect the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold to be launched at the event.
As per the publication, here are this year’s pricing, configuration, and colors for the Pixel 9 series in France that we assume would apply to the European market overall:
Google Pixel 9
The Pixel 9 will be available in four colors for both configurations: Porcelain, Mojito, Cosmo, and Obsidian.
- 128 GB: €899 ($977)
- 256 GB: €999 (1,086)
Google Pixel 9 Pro
The color options for 128GB and 256GB would be Obsidian, Porcelain, Pink, and Hazel, while the 512GB would come in two colors: Obsidian and Hazel.
- 128GB: €1,099 ($1,194)
- 256GB: €1,199 ($1,302)
- 512GB: €1,329 ($1,444)
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
Three colors would be available for the 128 GB and 512 GB: Obsidian, Hazel, and Porcelain. The 256GB would come in an additional Pink color, and the 1TB would only have Obsidian.
- 128GB: €1,199 ($1,302)
- 256GB: €1,299 ($1,411)
- 512GB: €1,429 ($1,552)
- 1TB: €1,689 ($1,835)
Pixel 9 Pro Fold
We are still waiting for the name confirmation for this model, and whether Google is opting for this change, but for now, we will assume it is using Pixel 9 Pro Fold instead of Pixel Fold 2. It would be available in two colors for both configurations: Obsidian and Porcelain.
- 256GB: €1,899 ($2,063)
- 512GB: €2,029 ($2,204)
The price hike is especially noticeable for the base model compared to its predecessor, but this may only apply to European users. North American pricing might differ, given that the prices for the two markets usually do not match. This can only be confirmed when the US pricing is out, but for now, the European market should prepare for relatively higher-priced Pixel models this year.
