Google Pixel Devices To Now Report And Anticipate Train Accidents- New Study Reveals Details News24 –

Must read

With the progress of tech and innovation, every new device that is launched in the market is laden with new innovation, Every phone has new sensors and tech that actively reads and feeds information regarding the presence and the use of the phone. While We only witness some of the sensors that are installed on the surface such as cameras and IR sensors. But sensors that are often hidden inside the chassis of the phone are not witnessed, these provide essential information that helps the phone adapt its connectivity and battery use.

Sensors such as accelerometers often feed in information about the direction in which we travel as well as when we are holding them.  If a new suite that is specifically developed to use the information that is fed by the sensors the phones could be used for all sorts of information gathering.

In a new study, a new software has been tested with a group of pixel phones, these phones were feeding in information such as stoppages and motion to the software. The Aim of the new program was to inform the software of any impending dangers.

New York Subway To Test New Program

New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority used tapped phones and used the information feeded for help in Subway maintenance.  Such a surveillance system has helped the New York subway track issues and helped in maintenance.

To recognize issues tracks use expensive scanner cars, but with the help of the new Pixel phones, such issues can possibly be identified much more easily. MTA partnered with Google to see if pixel phones could replace some of the expensive scanner cars.

Since track scans are expensive, with such programs MTA can keep an eye on the tracks for much lesser expenses. The sensors could be placed onto the trains as well to further increase the active feed of data to the main hub. The Track inspection system that has been developed studies vibration and audio recordings along with location data. This feed is then analyzed with Ai. These bumps and bangs can be analyzed to further help the MTA recognize where the track might be in need of maintenance. The program could be a possible highlight that may aid and complement the already existing maintenance system.
