After Gemini, Google is said to be working on a new artificial intelligence system for its Pixel smartphones, dubbed Pixel Sense, a AI feature reportedly planned for the upcoming Pixel 10 series. The rumored assistant aims to deliver an a new level of personalization by leveraging data from multiple Google applications, all while maintaining strict on-device privacy.
According to a recent report by Android Authority, Pixel Sense will integrate data from key Google apps including Calendar, Chrome, Contacts, Gmail, Maps, Messages, Photos, and more. The assistant promises to provide contextual, predictive suggestions tailored to individual user behaviors and preferences.
Unlike previous digital assistants, Pixel Sense will process all information directly on the device, ensuring that even Google cannot access user data. The system will learn from user interactions, suggesting personal information like places, products, and names precisely when needed. It will also adapt to users’ interests and help complete tasks more efficiently.
The Pixel Sensse will include the ability to process media files, screenshots, and associated metadata, enabling complex, multimodal interactions. Users will have complete control over app access, with the ability to grant and edit permissions through device settings.
As per the screenshots, Google describes Pixel Sense as delivering “the most personalized experience based on the things you do on your Pixel.” The assistant is expected to debut later this year with the Pixel 10 series, potentially marking a significant leap forward in smartphone AI technology.
It remains unknown if the Pixel Sense would be replacing the Google Gemini on Pixel phones, or if it the AI apps will co-exist.
