Google maps user discovers chilling desperate message on industrial wasteland

A google map user has made a chilling discovery in an abandoned industrial wasteland – the discovery has sparked fears of human trafficking and kidnapping being behind the message

Disturbing messages have been found on Google Maps’ satellite view: the words “Help” and “Traffico” can be seen in an abandoned industrial yard in Los Angles, California, and has led to fears of human trafficking.

The distressing messages seem to be made from large tube-like scraps or building materials and the word “Help” can be seen to be spelled out numerous times across the yard. The footage surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, and has been more than 13 million times.

Users have highlighted that the site on Google Maps is next to the Pacific Union Railroad, convenient for shipping and transportation. One social media user noted how run down the area looked due the abundance of rubbish and said: “It’s hard to believe this is a site in the US. It looks third world.”

Other words created from rubbish such as “money” and “makers” can be seen in closer pictures of the site, this has led some to believe that these messages could just be a result of people fooling around.

Social media users quickly went to the location to find out what was going on – subsequent videos show a fenced off yard filled with rubbish next to trainline that runs alongside it.

In other footage a stray dog can be seen standing among rubbish, with clothes and a wooden pallet along with other words and signs created out of rubbish.

Social media users have been very vocal about the stray French bull dog. One wrote: “Go get that Frenchie”

Another commented: “Rescue that Dog! Someone will give it a good home”

Many were alarmed about dog and and noted: “5K dog just sitting there. Nah something weird’s going on.”

Some social media users have claimed that the large “Help” lettering across the ground is nothing new and can be seen on Google Maps as early as July 2023.

However, it is currently unclear if these ominous signs and calls for help are a genuine calls for help or just a joke the internet has fallen for.
