Google has “revealed” Ukrainian positions on its maps. The images showed the placement of Ukraine’s military systems, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andriy Kovalenko, reported.

Ukraine has reached out to Google’s office to rectify the situation. However, according to the head of the CCD, the company has yet to respond to the request.

Kovalenko reported that Google representatives had contacted the Ukrainian side to address the issue regarding the images showing the placement of military systems.

It is worth noting that the Center for Countering Disinformation under the NSDC recently held talks with representatives from Google. As stated by CCD head Andriy Kovalenko, there will be significant shifts and acceleration in counteraction measures that “won’t please many propagandists.”

According to media reports, Russia has confiscated over $100 million from Google for war propaganda in Ukraine.

Additionally, Russian companies are demanding 2 undecillion rubles (a unit with 36 zeros) from Google, and this figure is reportedly doubling every week.
