Google Keep users this week are being prompted to “reload” their notes, while there’s also a small design tweak on Android that curves corners.
Opening the Android or iOS app over the past day shows a blue “Reload Keep” banner: “New features are available in Keep. Your notes will be saved before the reload. This might take a while.”
All your notes are first saved to the cloud and then removed from your device. It takes a few minutes for this download process to complete, especially if you have a lot of images. You can tap “Snooze” to hide the message temporarily, like if you’re not on Wi-Fi.
There are no obvious changes after this update. So far, we’ve seen this message on all our mobile devices. Reload is not a new action/prompt, but It seems like all Google Keep users have received it in the past 24 hours or so.
Meanwhile, version 5.24.492.x of Google Keep for Android makes a small tweak to sheets in notes. All of them now feature rounded top corners. This includes the plus, color + background, and overflow menus, as well as Remind me later.
The update is widely rolling out today. This follows the big FAB (floating action button) redesign last month, which has not come to the iOS app.
