If you own a lot of domain names offered by Google Registry, you should consider renewing them before August 1. The company is increasing the wholesale price of six of its domain names by $2 each.

That might not seem like much in nominal terms, but it represents a 17%-25% increase over previous prices. Domain registrants can expect domain registrars to pass the cost on to them.

The wholesale price of .page, .day, .boo, and .rsvp will increase from $8 to $10 per year. .Dev is increasing from $10 to $12, and .app will increase from $12 to $14.

Premium name prices aren’t changing.

Domain name registrants can lock in today’s pricing for up to 10 years by renewing their domains before August 1.
