Google has announced UI improvements for the Google Meet app on Android devices. Users joining calls from Android will now be able to enjoy a more optimised and compact interface with video displayed edge-to-edge on the screen.

The company has also introduced a new interface for managing appointments, as well as improved indicators for appointment names. All meeting controls are now placed in one block, including video on/off, microphone toggle, advanced options menu, and call end button.

Google plans to continue improving the UI in the coming months, but already the update provides a more convenient calling experience for Android users. The improved interface is available for all Google Workspace customers, individual Workspace subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
