Google fans can pick up Pixel 7a bundle for the lowest price ever

If you have been looking for an affordable mobile phone deal and don’t want to spend over the odds for a faster and sleeker phone – Amazon might have an early deal for you.

That’s because you can get the Google Pixel 7a for £300 thanks to an early sale on Amazon – you can also get a freebie thrown into the bundle. For a limited time, Amazon will give you a free Pixel 30W charger to go along with your phone.

If you have been looking for a phone because your old device is running a bit slow, this might be a perfect replacement. The Google Pixel 7a is one of our favourite budget phones that we reviewed last year thanks to packing a pretty mighty punch without an eye-watering price tag.

This device features some seriously impressive technology, including wireless charging, and it’s even powered by Google’s G2 processor – that’s the very same brain tucked under the hood of the £849 Pixel 7 Pro. You’ll also find a decent dual-lens camera on the rear case which, like almost all Pixel devices, snaps family album-worthy photos with very little fuss.

Photography features such as the clever Magic Eraser – which removes unwanted photobombers with just a tap – are also included.

The glossy design looks nice, the 6.1-inch screen is good enough for a nightly boxset binge and because it’s a Google-powered handset you are guaranteed to get the latest Android updates first. To be fair to Google there isn’t much to moan about.

On buyer said: “I bought this phone as my Xiaomi was annoying me too much slowing down after two years. Planned obsolescence?

“The price was just above £300 and for the quality of phone is well worth. The camera features are great. The phone is also fast and can keep a lot of apps running, which I do.

“The suggested gestures are too slow for multitasking, so I’m using it with the old-school interface. When running low on battery the saving mode is very, very good.”

Another said: “It’s taking me a while to discover all the features but so far excellent and great camera too.”

If we had to start picking fault with the 7a we’d like the battery to last longer and charge a little faster. Shoppers agree with this, one stated: “Really great phone, easy to use, camera is amazing, only downfall is the battery could last longer but all in all, I would highly recommend.”

The device does feel a tad chunky and it’s not as tough as its other Pixel 7 siblings which get an IP68 rating (iP67 Pixel 7a) and improved Gorilla Glass Victus. If you want to find an alternative smartphone with a bit more of a punch, we recommend looking at the Pixel 8 Pro which is also discounted to £699. If you prefer Samsung there’s also the Galaxy A54 5G, which comes in at £449.
