Google Calendar will now let you manage your tasks more easily. As reported by Android Authority, Google Calendar on Android is getting a new update to enable a detailed view of “all users’ tasks and task lists.”

With the new update, you will get a full-screen view of all your tasks and task lists. Previously, you could only see the date of the tasks. Now, it will show a detailed overview. Let’s take an insider look at how this update will change your Google Calendar.

Google Calendar Gets an Update!

The update was added to the web version last year. Now, the latest update in Google Calendar has been found in the mobile version. This update was first spotted last month in an Authority Insights APK teardown.

So, how does the update exactly work? In the new Google Calendar, you can now see a Tasks icon. This icon is located at the top right, between your profile picture and the ‘Today view’ option. Now, click on the ‘Task’ option. After that, you will get the usual Google Tasks interface. Using this option, you can mark your to-do list as complete once you have finished your tasks. You will also get a brief overview of what each task is about.

Moreover, the main aim of this update is to merge the abilities of Google Tasks and Google Calendar together under the same platform. This will make it more convenient and easy to use. Now, you won’t need two separate apps to remind you of important tasks!

As of now, the addition of Google Tasks in Google Calendar on Android is only available to Google Workspace Individual subscribers, Google Workspace customers, and users with personal Google accounts. For the time being, the new update is only available for Android users. The company has not yet announced any version of the update for iOS users.
