Golf Genius, the leading provider of cloud-hosted golf software solutions, has partnered with GOLFZON to support the launch and scoring management of its global simulator Tour, the GOLFZON Tour.
As part of the collaboration, Golf Genius is powering the scoring and tournament management elements of GOLFZON Tour — capturing live results and player statistics for the millions of fans expected to watch the matches unfold.
The groundbreaking competitive indoor golf league features 12 teams from cities in North America and the UK who are competing in a series of matches, culminating in the Tour Finals at the 2025 PGA Show, where the winning team will be awarded the grand prize of $150,000.
“We are delighted to be working with GOLFZON on this exciting initiative to deliver a dual technology solution for the indoor and entertainment space,” commented James Sibbles, Head of Entertainment Golf at Golf Genius. “Delivering a world-class indoor golf tournament that can be played from any location requires robust scoring and tournament management technology, for which Golf Genius is perfectly placed as the market leader to provide.”
GOLFZON is the leading provider of golf simulator technology and holds a major presence throughout the world, with 99 million rounds played on its simulators in 2023 alone. For over a decade, GOLFZON has operated the popular GTOUR, a professional golf simulator league in South Korea. It attracts the country’s top golfers, who compete for cash purses.
The company now brings its proven track record to North America and Europe. Instead of professional athletes, GOLFZON Tour provides an opportunity for the greater public in each region to participate with a qualifying process at the host venue of each team’s location.
“Having Golf Genius in lockstep gives the GOLFZON Tour a huge vote of confidence and ensures we have the highest quality software integrated with every match”, said Stuart Carter-Smith, Sales Director, GOLFZON UK.
