Glad You Asked That

Must read

Q. Is Chick-fil-A still planning on being built in the Office Max spot?

A. Nothing has changed from when the Georgia-based fast food restaurant first launched the idea of a Grafton restaurant in March.

According to Grafton Assistant Village Administrator and Community Development Director Jessica Wolff, the proposal still needs approvals, and the company may be back at Plan Commission this month or in September.

The company is hoping to expand its operations to 1346 N. Port Washington Road, the space currently occupied by Office Max. According to a concept plan application from Alrig USA, the proposed 2.24-acre development would include demolition of the existing office supplies company to make room for the 4,297-square-foot restaurant with a double drive-thru on the south side of the site.

The site would include a 3,500 square-foot bank — to be named later — with a drive-thru located on the north side.
