Kimco Realty Corp., a real estate investment trust company, has announced two new tenants at Franklin Park Commons shopping center, on Spokane’s North Side.
Bath & Body Works LLC and Boot Barn Inc. have leased retail storefronts at the shopping center, located at 5610 N. Division, says Stephanie Heick, senior director of regional marketing at Kimco Realty.
The two retailers will occupy over 18,000 square feet of space between the Old Navy apparel store and the Trader Joe’s grocery store at the former Bed Bath & Beyond site, according to marketing materials provided by Kimco Realty.
Franklin Park Commons is located north of Rowan Avenue and west of Providence Holy Family Hospital, in the Nevada Lidgerwood neighborhood.
Kimco Realty owns 8 acres of commercial retail property at the shopping center, excluding Burlington Coat Factory.
Boot Barn and Bath & Body Works will join Kimco’s current retail tenants that inclue Guitar Center, Ross Dress For Less, Ulta Beauty, and Shari’s restaurant, along with Old Navy and Trader Joe’s.
Renovations for a 4,200-square-foot storefront for Bath & Body Works will cost about $385,000, according to permit requests currently under review by the city of Spokane.
Atlanta-based Greenberg Farrow Architecture Inc. is providing architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering services for the Bath & Body Works tenant improvements. No contractor is listed on the permit information.
Permit applications for a 14,100-square-foot Boot Barn store haven’t been submitted yet.
After those new tenants move in, over 22,800 square feet of retail space remains available at the former Bed Bath & Beyond site, design plans show.
Jericho, New York-based Kimco Realty owns and operates grocery-anchored shopping centers and mixed-use properties across the U.S., according to the company’s website. As of March, the company held interest in 569 shopping centers and mixed-use assets that comprise 101 million square feet of leasable space.
As previously reported by the Journal, Boot Barn, an Irvine, California-based chain of Western clothing and work-wear stores, opened its first Washington state store in Spokane Valley in December 2016. The North Division location will be the second Spokane-area storefront and the eighth in Washington, according to the company’s website.
