Forever Buff Jeremy Bloom continued to add to his impressive resume – on and off the field – by taking over as the new CEO of the X Games on Dec. 5.
The former NFL receiver and Olympic skier is now working around the clock to make the action sports league as strong and innovative as it possibly can be.
“It’s sort of surreal to be back in sports,” Bloom told BuffStampede.com. “I was so lucky to be able to play football and ski at a professional level but a lot of people may not know for the last 13 years, I have been in tech as a CEO and founder of an enterprise software company. Seeing growth from an idea on a whiteboard with zero dollars of revenue to over nine figures of revenue was pretty remarkable.
“I thought maybe I was just destined to be in enterprise software my whole career but when this opportunity came up to go run the X Games, I mean, how could you turn down an opportunity like that? Especially with the new owners of the X Games and the vision to turn this into a global action sports league in 2026, and just work for these athletes… these are the best athletes in the world and what they do, nobody else can do. So, to wake up every day and use our collective energy and creativity as a staff to build the biggest platform for these athletes, it is sort of a dream come true.”
