Food drive collects 400 pounds

Must read

The Mayville Post Office participated in the 2024 National Association of Letter Carriers ‘Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive’ on Saturday, May 11. Thanks to the Post Office and Postal customers, 36 tubs of non-perishable food, totaling approximately 400 pounds, were collected and donated to the Mayville Food Pantry. Many thanks go out to all those who generously donated. Donations have helped to fill pantry shelves with much needed food, allowing the Pantry to supplement the extra monthly food needs of our clients.Special thanks go out to Rich Nowell, Kimmie Douglas, Harley Ransom, Josh Eppinger, D J Kriner, and Shaun Brown of the Post Office for all of your hard work in organizing and collecting the donations. Also, many thanks to our Pantry volunteers Kathleen Stewart, Jim Warner, Shannon Biekarck, Judy Ames, Bev Harrington, Ann Smith, and Annette Ranney for handling the donations at the Pantry. The Mayville Food Pantry, Board members, and our volunteers are deeply appreciative for the community’s continued generous support.
