Benjamin Ackley, from Apex, North Carolina, took first-place honors in the Great Lakes Junior Golf Tour Battle at the Vineyards Tournament held at Green Meadows Golf Course in North East, Pennsylvania, on July 16-17 in the 10-to-12-year-old boys age group.
Shooting a total score of 3-over 75, Ben shot an eagle, three birdies and nine pars. Ben is the grandson of George and Pam Allessi and Dick Ackley of Fredonia, and the son of Jana Ackley and Brian Ackley of Apex, North Carolina.
