A blaze broke out in Odesa region Sunday evening as a result of a Russian missile attack on port infrastructure.
That’s according to Oleh Kiper, chief of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Ukrinform reports.
The enemy attacked Odesa region with missiles and kamikaze drones. As a result of the evening missile attack on port infrastructure, a fire broke out. Fortunately, there were no casualties.”
Also, Kiper noted, dry grass and an abandoned building caught fire in Odesa district after missile debris plunged to the ground.
Firefighters promptly put the blaze out.
According to the head of the administration, shortly after the missile attack, the Russians struck with drones, which were intercepted by Ukraine’s air defense forces.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russians have been targeting Ukrainian ports in order to undermine international support for Ukraine and push it toward negotiations, according to a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
