Fredonia beat Gowanda 13-9 in a District 38 Little League 8-10 Non-Sanctioned Tournament semifinal Tuesday at Gravit Field in Mayville. Falconer beat Dunkirk 8-4 in the other semifinal at LaGrega in Lakewood. For Fredonia, Rocco Bongiovanni led the way with three hits, including a double. Carter Long, Bruno Muscarella and Tristan Darr (double) each had two hits, and Dominic Carapella added a double. Bongiovanni, Muscarella and Carapella worked on the mound for Fredonia. Noah Nelson, Lucas Arrance, Jayce Stewart and Owen Dickerson combined to allow four hits on the mound, while Andrew Youngberg, Dominic Rizzo and Aiden Rhinehart each had two hits for Falconer.
