At a 2021 party, Elon Musk and Nicole Shanahan took ketamine together and disappeared for several hours, claimed the NYT report.
Tesla CEO Eon Musk reportedly used ketamine and had an affair with Nicole Shanahan, a lawyer and former wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, according to a New York Times report. In 2021, Shanahan hosted a birthday party at a club in New York, which was also attended by Musk, a longtime friend of Brin. That same year, the two of them crossed paths again at a private party in Miami that Musk’s brother, Kimbal Musk, hosted in connection with the Art Basel festival. At the party, the SpaceX founder and Shanahan took ketamine together and disappeared for several hours, multiple people present at the event have told The New York Times.
Three of the people claimed that Shanahan even confessed to her then-husband Brin that she “had sex with Musk”.
Citing court documents, the NYT report further states that Brin and Shanahan separated from each other about two weeks after the party, while he filed for divorce the next year (2022), citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Both Musk and Shanahan have denied the affairs.
In an interview with People magazine last year, Shanahan said, “Did Elon and I have sex, like it was a moment of passion, and then it was over? No. Did we have a romantic relationship? No. We didn’t have an affair.”
She claimed that her career has been based on academic and intellectual credibility, adding that she was “being shamed internationally for being a cheater”. “To be known because of a sexual act is one of the most humiliating things… it was utterly debilitating,” she said.
Who is Nicole Shanahan?
Shanahan, a 38-year-old California resident, formerly worked as a lawyer in Silicon Valley. She is Independent candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr’s running mate in the US presidential polls slated for November this year.
Shanahan had a substantial financial reserve to support his campaign. She received the majority of that fortune — which is claimed to be worth over $1 billion — as a settlement of her divorce from Brin. NYT said that she has used her money to support Kennedy’s candidature, contributing $10 million to a pro-Kennedy super PAC.
According to Forbes, Brin is among the wealthiest individuals in the world with an estimated net worth of $139.5 billion.
