Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk revealed that xAI‘s latest artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok 3, will be unveiled on Monday. The live demonstration is scheduled for 8 p.m. Pacific Time (0400 GMT on Tuesday).
Musk, who has been vocal about the capabilities of Grok 3, described it as the “smartest AI on Earth.” During a video conference at the World Government Summit in Dubai, he emphasized that Grok 3 is designed to outperform existing AI models, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The chatbot has been trained on synthetic data and is capable of reflecting on its mistakes to achieve logical consistency.

In his announcement about the upcoming launch, Musk also mentioned that he will be working with his team to fine-tune the product over the weekend, and thus, will remain offline until then. “Will be honing product with the team all weekend, so offline until then,” reads his post.

The announcement comes at a time when the race to develop more sophisticated and cost-effective AI chatbots is intensifying. Chinese startup DeepSeek has also made headlines with its AI model, which rivals OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Musk’s xAI aims to position itself as a major player in this competitive field, with Grok 3 expected to introduce advanced features and significant efficiency improvements.
By integrating Grok into Musk’s other ventures, particularly the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), xAI aims to engage millions of users directly. This integration aligns with Musk’s broader vision of creating a more transparent and decentralized AI model.
