The Eastern Area Communities Planning Committee (EACPC), to which El Cerrito south of El Cajon Boulevard belongs, is preparing to submit its requests for Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs) – also known as infrastructure improvements – to the City of San Diego for the next budget year.

The El Cerrito Community Council has identified several infrastructure priorities and it would like the public’s feedback on them. The ECCC would also like the public to add any infrastructure needs they think would improve life in El Cerrito south of El Cajon Boulevard and rank them as well. The responses will be collected by the EACPC and considered at its August meeting for inclusion in its final submission to the city in September.

Examples of capital improvement infrastructure projects:

Bike Ways
Bridges
Storm drainage and flood control facilities
Libraries
Park and recreation centers
Police, fire, and lifeguard facilities
Street improvements, lights, and traffic signals
Sidewalk improvements
Utilities undergrounding
Water and sewer facilities and pipelines

Residents are asked to take a few minutes to complete the survey and add any ideas of their own. The survey is open until Aug. 8.

The responses will help EACPC decide which projects to include on its final submission to the city in September.
