JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Soft drink Dr. Enuf celebrated 75 years in East Tennessee on Thursday.
The day of recognition celebrated Dr. Enuf’s presence and its impact on Tennessee’s culture and business landscape.
By 1949, Dr. Enuf was bottled by Tri-City Beverage and quickly gained local popularity.
President of Tri-City Beverage Corporation Chuck Gordon said people show their love of Dr. Enuf in different ways.
“I can’t leave out the tattoos,” Gordon said. “You see more tattoos more than ever today and everyone is proud to send us by social media their ways of displaying Dr. Enuf as a tattoo.”
Gordon said the corporation has made special shipping containers for the drink due to military members often requesting Dr. Enuf when on deployment.
“They are proud to do that and we’re proud that they can get it and we made special shipping containers so that their families can have that sent to them.”
