The Disney Dress Shop that had largely stopped selling dresses and hopped from one location to another in Downtown Disney will be rebranded as the Disney Storyland Boutique selling a wider range of clothing and accessories.
Anaheim building permits indicate the Disney Storyland Boutique will replace the Disney Dress Shop at the Anaheim outdoor shopping mall next to Disneyland, according to MiceChat.

The Disney Dress Shop moved from its former Downtown Disney location to make room for the expansion of Marceline’s Confectionery – which will be rebranded as Disney’s Wonderful World of Sweets.
The relocated Disney Dress Shop took over a location previously home to the Wonderground Gallery – which moved into a smaller space. The latest location of the Disney Dress Shop is currently closed for renovation with the windows blacked out.
The rebranding of the Disney Dress Shop as the Disney Storyland Boutique will formally recognize the obvious – the dress shop didn’t sell many dresses.
“You can see why they aren’t selling,” according to MiceChat. “The dresses have become more and more garish and costumey over the years and some designs are just ridiculous.”
