Dig for Deals: Roanoke’s Only Bin Store is Changing the Shopping Game

Must read

ROANOKE, Va. – Looking for a treasure hunt that’s full of surprises and big savings? A new shopping experience is turning heads in Roanoke, and it’s called Roanoke Treasure Bins. It’s the first of its kind in the area, and it’s quickly becoming a must-visit spot for savvy bargain hunters.

Imagine digging through bins full of electronics, toys, home goods, and more—all for a fraction of what you’d pay at big retail stores. That’s the magic of Roanoke Treasure Bins, the city’s only bin store, where the deals are as wild as the treasure hunt itself.

Dawn Faust, a frequent shopper, says the experience is unbeatable. “It’s so totally cool, you can go in and literally not look for anything and come out with a whole buggy full,” she said.

The store operates on a simple but effective business model: it sources products from overstock and a small amount of return items from big retail stores like Target and Walmart. The products are then restocked in the bins every Friday, creating excitement and anticipation among shoppers.

Zaid Alqublan, manager of Roanoke Treasure Bins, explains, “These items are mostly overstock items or just a small amount of return items that big retail stores like Target or Walmart, and we get the products from them.”

And that’s where the fun begins. The store’s unique setup creates a sense of adventure for shoppers, who are excited to dig through the bins in hopes of finding something great at a bargain price.

“It’s unique, you know, me personally, I’ve never seen that before anywhere. It’s exciting because you are digging and you never know what you are going to find,” Alqublan said.

Big savings, big finds, and big fun—Roanoke Treasure Bins is quickly becoming the place to be. Whether you’re hunting for clothes, electronics, or the perfect gift, there’s something for everyone.

Jessica Fortin, another loyal shopper, is a fan of the savings the store offers. “Definitely get a discount on things and with the economy the way it is, I mean you need to save money where you can,” she said.

Fortin arrives early every Friday and stays late, eagerly waiting for the restock to find the items she’s hoping for. “There’s a baby monitor that I’m really hoping to get so we’ll see, I’m just waiting around for the restock to see if I can get everything I came for,” she added.

Prices in the bins fluctuate throughout the week. Starting at $12 on Friday, items are priced lower each day, dropping to as low as $2 by Wednesday.

For those looking for a shopping adventure, Roanoke Treasure Bins is the place to be. Come for the treasure hunt and leave with unbeatable deals.
