Several Delaware North locations have been named to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hotels and Best Resorts rankings in the United States.
To be considered for the list, there are several requirements that must be met at each location, including hotel class rating, guest room minimum and property type. A property’s rank is then computed based on the number and prominence of industry accolades from travel experts, guest ratings and hotel class ratings.
Delaware North locations named to the 2025 Best Hotels and Best Resorts list:
- Tenaya at Yosemite is the No. 1 resort in the Yosemite National Park region, No. 66 in California and No. 379 in the country. Tenaya guests praised the resort for its extensive amenities, chalet-style accommodations and deluxe treatments available at the Ascent Spa.
- The Squire at Grand Canyon, a Holiday Inn Resort, is the No. 1 resort in the Grand Canyon National Park region, No. 50 in Arizona and No. 690 in the country. The resort, which completed its transition to the IHG resort brand in January of 2025, was recognized for its restaurants, pools and fitness center.
- The Gideon Putnam is the No. 1 resort in the Saratoga Springs, N.Y. area, No. 23 in the state and No. 718 in the country. The location was cited for its luxurious accommodations and upscale amenities, courteous and helpful team members and the legendary Roosevelt Baths & Spa, which offers mineral baths that have attracted visitors since the mid-1800s.
- Mardi Gras Casino & Resort is the No. 1 resort in the Charleston, W.Va. region, No. 3 in West Virginia and No. 807 in the country. Mardi Gras was praised for its accommodations, nightclubs, bars and New Orleans flavor inspiration in the restaurant and buffet.
- The Westin Buffalo is the No. 2 hotel in the Buffalo area and No. 99 in the state. Guests at the hotel noted the inviting and comfortable decor, business and fitness centers and attentive customer service.
The hotels and resorts included in the rankings are listed as the best in the area when a potential guest searches for a resort or hotel in a specific destination through the U.S. News & World travel site.
