Travelers will be able to fly from New Orleans to four cities across the U.S. before and during 2025 Mardi Gras.
Spirit Airlines announced Monday afternoon that it will offer daily flights from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport to Columbus (OH), Indianapolis, Memphis and San Antonio.
The new, seasonal service will begin on Feb. 20 and end on March 9, 2025. Spirit said that the latest additions give people across the country the chance to experience Carnival in the Big Easy.
The airline did not immediately confirm if the flights are nonstop routes.
The announcement comes shortly after Spirit disclosed in September that the airline would offer daily, nonstop flights from MSY to LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York, starting Feb. 12, 2025.
The airline at the time touted it will offer 24 nonstop routes from New Orleans with up to 29 peak day departures during Mardi Gras. Spirit’s current nonstop flights include destinations such as Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, according to the MSY website.
The New Orleans airport currently serves over 50 nonstop national and international nonstop routes, the website said, including Nashville, Miami, London and Montreal.
