On June 22, Falconer/Cassadaga Valley varsity track athlete Gabrielle Cunningham, running for the Chautauqua Striders Track Club competed in the USATF Niagara Junior Olympics Track Championships at Roberts Wesleyan University in Chili. Cunningham competed in the 200 meters, high jump and long jump. She achieved a personal best in the high jump (1.27 meters), tied a personal best in the long jump (4.06 meters) and turned in a 29.4 in the 200 meters. Cunningham earned a top-five finish in all three events, qualifying her for the 2024 USATF Region 2 Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Jersey City, New Jersey on July 12-14.
