FREDONIA — The Fredonia boys basketball team hosted Buffalo Culinary for its first home game, but it was the Hillbillies who were cooking as they rolled to a 94-30 nonleague victory on Monday evening.
Colin Luce paced Fredonia with 20 points and six rebounds, Ashton Putney hit four triples to score 18 with seven boards and seven assists, Donovan Dowdy added 13 points with five boards, four steals and two blocks, RJ Koopman contributed 12 points, four assists and three boards, Luca Gullo posted 11 points and nine assists and Malachi Hall hauled in eight boards with four assists.
Fredonia (2-0, 0-0) begins its league season this Thursday when Falconer (2-0, 1-0 CCAA 1) makes the trip.
MARKHAM LEADS FALCONER
FALCONER — Roger Markham scored 7 of his 18 points in the final quarter as Falconer returned to Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 with a 48-41 victory over Southwestern.
Markham’s 18 points were a game high, while Max Parmentier added another 11 for the Golden Falcons (2-0, 1-0).
Southwestern was led by Chase Harnett with 12 points.

HORNETS STING ELLICOTTVILLE
FORESTVILLE — Jacob Anders scored 19 points and made six steals to lead Forestville past Ellicottville 42-34 in Division 4 action.
Manny Sanchez added 11 points, five assists and four steals for the Hornets (2-0, 1-0), Dom Anders hauled in eight rebounds, and both Jack Spengler and William Duliba collected eight boards.
Dominic Polino paced Ellicottville (0-1, 0-1) with a double-double scoring 11 points with 11 rebounds, Blake Smith made nine rebounds and five steals and Cameron Mendell added six steals.

PANTHERS FALL SHORT
GOWANDA — Despite a 26-point fourth quarter Gowanda could not dig out of its hole against Eden, falling 77-66 in nonleague action.
Seth Geiger paced the Panthers (0-2, 0-0) with 17 points, Logan Ruff scored 16 and Trelin Warrior added 15 as they tried to rally back trailing 63-40 entering the fourth quarter.
Eden improves to 2-0 with the victory.
PINE VALLEY PULLS AWAY
CATTARAUGUS — Pine Valley’s 14-point fourth quarter allowed the Panthers to pull away from Cattaraugus-Little Valley for a 46-36 victory in Division 4 action.
Pine Valley (1-0, 1-0) trailed by a field goal after the first quarter, but was steady the rest of the way to begin the year with a win, while the Timberwolves (0-2, 0-1) are still in search of their first.
