Rensselaer — November 1, at 10:30 AM, Congressman Paul D. Tonko (D) gathered with labor and planning leaders at the Rensselaer Waterfront Esplanade to celebrate the infusion of over $500 million in federal funding for the Capital Region, delivered through the Biden-Harris Administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The press conference highlighted major investments that are transforming local infrastructure, including roads, bridges, airports, and water systems.
Key projects include more than $215 million to replace the Livingston Avenue Bridge, along with significant upgrades totaling $337 million for bridges, $74 million for highways, $44 million for airports, and $16 million for water infrastructure improvements. Congressman Tonko and local leaders will discuss how these investments strengthen infrastructure, boost the regional workforce, and support the community.
