Comedian to have fun with ‘Mansplaining’

Must read

Comedian Tom Briscoe will perform Saturday at the Fredonia Opera House.

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center presents comedian Tom Briscoe in a special comedy show, It’s Not Mansplaining, It’s OLD Mansplaining, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., as part of the DFT Communications Spotlight Series.

New York’s very own Briscoe takes the stage in a show that’s bound to leave the audience in stitches. It’s Not Mansplaining, It’s OLD Mansplaining is a collection of hilarious slants and rants on being misunderstood, misinterpreted, and misread by the growing number of folks much younger than he is. Topics include bad jobs, a good marriage, travel mishaps, raising daughters, empty nesting, doctors, ungracefully aging, unsolicited advice, living each day as a cautionary tale, and more.

Briscoe is well-known in comedy circles. His Top 10 Dry Bar Comedy Special has nearly two million full episode views. Cuts from his comedy albums are in regular rotation on all the comedy satellite radio stations. He is a regular at all top comedy venues nationwide, and on cruise lines worldwide. Ship travels have brought him to more than 100 countries and his stories as to why only 86 of them will let him back in are side-splitting, audience favorites.

Critics rave about Briscoe’s unique brand of humor, and he’s rightfully recognized as one of the busiest and funniest comedians of our time. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran of life’s experiences or simply a connoisseur of genuine laughter, It’s Not Mansplaining, It’s OLD Mansplaining promises an unforgettable night of comedic brilliance that transcends generations.

Tickets to the show are $22 (Adults), $20 (Opera House Members), and $10 (Students) and can be purchased in person at the Opera House Box Office or by phone at 716-679-1891, Tuesday-Friday, noon to 4:30 p.m. They can be purchased online anytime at www.fredopera.org. The Spotlight Series is generously sponsored by DFT Communications.
