Buys named to President’s List

WINONA — Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing and Winona announces that Kayla Buys, Edgerton, has been named to the President’s List for fall semester 2024.

A total of 347 students were named to the Fall 2024 President’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits during an academic term and achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Bjerke helps bring 9 to 5: The Musical to the stage

DEMOREST, Georgia — More than two dozen students will bring “9 to 5: The Musical” to the Piedmont University Mainstage Theater on Valentine’s Day weekend. Sara Bjerke, Rock Rapids, Iowa, is on the production team helping bring the story to life.

The musical follows frustrated employees Violet, Judy, and Doralee as they are pushed to the limit by their misogynistic, egotistical boss Franklin Hart. Upset about rampant workplace sexism and Hart’s threatening behavior, the three women decide that revenge is in order. What happens next will have audiences laughing out loud and cheering.

Wede named to Dean’s List

ORANGE CITY, IA — Anaka Wede, of Worthington, a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the fall 2024 semester.

The Dean’s List is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours. This semester, 524 students qualified for the Dean’s List.

Becker named to Dean’s List

FAYETTE, Iowa — Marissa Becker, a psychology major from Dundee, was named to the Dean’s List at Upper Iowa University for the Fall 2024 semester.

To be honored, the undergraduate must have earned a minimum 3.5 GPA and be enrolled as a full-time student.

UW-La Crosse announces Dean’s List

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin — Carlene Osland, Bingham Lake; Savanna Boerboom, Slayton; and Ericka Appel and Jenna Brockman, Windom were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the fall semester of the 2024.

To be eligible, students must have earned at least a 3.5 semester grade point average and carried a minimum of 12 credits.

St. Cloud State announces Dean’s List

ST. CLOUD — St. Cloud State University has announced more than 1,086 students whose academic achievement placed them on the 2024 fall semester Dean’s List. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Area students named to the list include Dayton Johnson, Lake Wilson; Kendall Buss, Luverne; and Elias Gomez Marroquin, Worthington.

Hause makes Dean’s List at University of Minnesota Morris

MORRIS — Lindsey Hause, Slayton, was named to the University of Minnesota Morris Dean’s List for the fall 2024 semester.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.666 or higher while taking 12 or more credits on the A-F grading system, with no incompletes or nonsatisfactory grades.

Trinity Christian College announces Dean’s List

PALOS HEIGHTS, Illinois — Belle Schiermeyer, Rock Rapids, Iowa, was named to the Dean’s List for Fall 2024 at Trinity Christian College, Palos Heights, Illinois.

The Dean’s List is Trinity Christian College’s highest academic honor. It is recognized for traditional undergraduate students who achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or better in 12 or more credits with grade points.

Local students named to Dean’s List at Bemidji State University

BEMIDJI — Area students named to the Dean’s List at Bemidji State University for the Fall 2024 semester include Amy Martens, Adrian; Ty Vander Ziel, Leota; and Alana Morey, Mountain Lake.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, BSU students must enroll in at least 12 credits and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester. A total of 703 students earned Dean’s List honors for Fall 2024 at BSU.
