Saturday’s college football schedule features 18 of the AP top 25 teams in action during what figures to be a consequential day of mid-October action. While a pair of top-15 SEC clashes highlight the slate, there is plenty throughout the day’s three viewing windows to keep fans occupied.
No. 6 Miami travels to Louisville in the noon window as the unbeaten Hurricanes look to continue their storybook start led by star quarterback Cam Ward. However, the Cardinals are just a 5-point underdog and had no problem taking out the ‘Canes on the road last season.
The afternoon window is highlighted by a pair of ranked battles No. 24 Michigan travels to No. 22 Illinois for a Big Ten clash on CBS. At the same time, No. 11 Tennessee hosts No. 7 Alabama in a battle of one-loss SEC teams with College Football Playoff ambitions. An injury-riddled Notre Dame team also faces a test in the afternoon as the No. 12 Fighting Irish travel to face 5-2 Georgia Tech.
While the evening window’s top attraction is No. 1 Texas vs. No. 5 Georgia, No. 8 LSU and No. 9 Iowa State will also be in action against conference foes. The Tigers are traveling to face a plucky Arkansas team while the Cyclones host UCF.
CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the evening.Â
