Cold Stone Creamery’s second Arlington location has started serving scoops.
Located at 3141 Langston Blvd, the ice cream shop opened its doors on Monday in the Lyon Village Shopping Center, seven months after announcing plans to open there.
The creamery, open daily from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., offers a wide array of base ice cream flavors. Customers can select from more than 15 individual “toppings,” which are mixed into the ice cream on an ice-cold surface.
A small number of tables are inside the establishment for dine-in customers. Ice cream sandwiches and other pre-packed options are available for purchase in the store’s freezer. Cold Stone also offers shakes, smoothies and cakes.
In January, franchisee Mohammed Haque told ARLnow that he hoped to open the store sometime after May. The location was previously part of a bank and needed undergo some interior demolition to become an ice cream shop, permit records show.
Cold Stone’s other Arlington spot is located at 2200 Crystal Drive in Crystal City.
