CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – This holiday season, downtown Charleston is making it easier to have your shopping experience as stress-free and convenient as possible by offering two hours of free parking in participating parking garages.
Four downtown parking garages will offer the free parking from this Friday through Dec. 31. Users will be able to use their mobile devices or print the voucher to redeem at the select garages.
The four participating parking garages are:
- Saint Philip Street (34 Saint Philip St.)
- Visitor Center (63 Mary St.)
- Majestic Square (211 King St.)
- Queen Street (93 Queen St.)

- Pull a ticket from one of the participating garages.
- Upon exiting, insert the ticket.
- Once the ticket is inserted, scan the parking voucher’s QR Code at the reader on the machine’s upper right-hand corner.
- As the voucher covers 2 hours, pay any remaining fees.Â
- Press the blue call button at the top of the machine for assistance if needed.
