Cinco’s Cantina wraps up month-long fundraiser, raising $4,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

DOVER — Cinco’s Cantina, a family-owned restaurant known for its vibrant atmosphere and community commitment, announces the successful conclusion of its month-long fundraising initiative for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Throughout November, Cinco’s Cantina’s three locations united to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude, contributing $4,000 to help advance pediatric cancer research and treatment.

The fundraiser was driven by the restaurant’s popular “Fiesta Fundraiser” night, where for one complete day and night, 20 percent of all sales from all three locations was dedicated to St. Jude that coupled with special menu promotional items, an online donation component for takeout orders, and a give back gift card promotion proved to be a winning recipe.

“We are beyond grateful for the incredible support from our patrons and local community,” said Miguel Alberto Tellez, co-founder of Cinco’s Cantina. “It has been truly heartwarming to see our customers and staff come together to support St. Jude’s incredible work, and we’re honored to contribute to St Jude’s mission.”

During the fall, Cinco’s Cantina leadership approached Maine Stars to offer to support the local cheer gym’s annual effort to raise money for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Gym will award its full donation to St. Jude’s in February 2025 during Friday Night Live at Cheersport.

Cinco’s Cantina is known for its generosity in giving back to the communities it serves. The Tellez family is especially grateful to be part of three strong communities and genuinely appreciates the support of loyal customers, who are more like friends and family. Great Bay Services seeks to purchase accessible minivans through fundraising

DOVER — New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) recently awarded tax credits to Great Bay Services in Dover, a nonprofit that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to fulfill their potential as valued members of the communities they serve. The fundraising effort will support the purchase of 12 wheelchair accessible minivans to help meet the transportation needs of the organization’s clients in Rockingham and Strafford County. MVSB (Meredith Village Savings Bank) is proud to purchase $10,000 in tax credits to support their fundraising efforts.

“Accessible minivans will allow us to offer safer and more reliable transportation to our clients, which will increase access to community activities such as volunteer projects, outdoor recreation, employment, education, entertainment and more,” said Pam Lowy, Great Bay Services Executive Director. “A lot of our work is made possible by the wonderful local support we have received, and we are thankful for the businesses and organizations who have helped us bring resources and services to our community members.”

“Nonprofits like Great Bay Services are critical to the health, wellbeing and success of our Seacoast communities, and we are proud to be a small part of that,” said Jim Carrigan, MVSB Regional Vice President. “It really makes you appreciate the great community we have here.”
