The International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF), billed as a “premier global event” in the infrastructure industry, is set to take place in Macau from 19-21 June, marking the 15th edition of the forum with Macau being the host for the 13th time.

IIICF is jointly organised by the China International Contractors Association and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) with the backing of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in 2010.

The forum serves as an international platform for exchanging insights on infrastructure investment and construction, bringing together government officials, representatives of financial institutions, engineering companies, survey and design firms, consultants, and equipment manufacturers to explore opportunities and seek cooperation.

IPIM said that starting from 2023, the exhibition area of IIICF had been expanded to 5,000 square metres, attracting over 30 major multinational companies and organisations from the infrastructure sector, along with more than 10 companies and organisations from Macau and Hengqin.

The forum also hosts a series of panels focusing on cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries, construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, as well as the development of Macau.

Meanwhile, the event will feature a business matching session, allowing enterprises from Macau and Hengqin to engage in exchanges with industry professionals from around the world and facilitating business connections and opportunities.

Since its inception, IIICF has attracted upwards of 30,000 industry experts from more than 70 countries worldwide. The forum has facilitated over 180 cooperative projects with a total value exceeding US$100 billion (MOP805 billion).
