Charles Cross Isn’t Complacent And Is Off To A Promising Year 3

Must read

Through two games, offensive tackle Charles Cross has looked like he’s taken a leap and has played great, earning himself an overall 94.8 grade in Week 1, and in 75 pass blocking snaps hasn’t allowed a single has not allowed a single sack, hurry, pressure or quarterback hit through two games. He has the highest offensive grade of any tackle in the NFL this season at 90.2, according to Pro Football Focus, and playing 137 snaps, he hasn’t committed a penalty.

With all of that, Cross would tell you that he feels like his entire game has grown overall, but he wants to “get better in the run game and pass game” and “bring guys along with me.”

The “guys” he’s referring to is the rest of the offensive line who as a unit has had their struggles through two games. The entire unit is still learning, and players like Connor Williams who are coming off injury and playing in a scheme that he’s only been a part of since August.

“Connor’s (Williams) done a great job,” Cross said. “Just coming in and learning the offense and getting us in the right positions to be successful. So, I feel like he’s done a tremendous job coming in and playing.”
