Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce to present 50th Annual Golf Tournament and Clambake

ROCHESTER — The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce announced it will hold its 50th Annual Golf Tournament, underwritten by Waste Management, on Thursday, Sept. 26, at The Oaks Golf Links. The format for this tournament is a Scramble with a shotgun start time of 9 a.m.

Players will enjoy a continental breakfast and bagged lunch, followed by appetizers and a clambake dinner after the tournament. An awards ceremony will also take place announcing winners of contests on every hole and some great prizes will be raffled. Player goody bags with golf-related items and snacks will also be provided. The fee to play in the tournament is $225 per player, which includes greens fee, cart, breakfast, lunch, dinner, five raffle tickets, two mulligans, and contest entry passes for the specialty holes.

Golf-related items for raffle prizes and player goody bags are currently being sought. In addition, several sponsorship opportunities are available to businesses wishing to receive recognition from this popular tournament.

Tickets are selling fast for the ‘Friday Night Fever’ 2024 Chamber raffle

ROCHESTER — There are less than 50 tickets left for the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce’s annual Chamber Raffle, where the winner will choose either a 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Bob 114 motorcycle or $10,000. Underwritten by Breezeline and Deepa Reddy, DMD, PLLC, the Raffle this year will take place on Friday, Aug. 9 from 6-9 p.m. at The Rochester Elks Lodge #1393. Tickets are selling fast, get yours today.

Raffle tickets, sponsored by Service Credit Union, are available for $100 each and only 350 will be sold. Each ticket purchased admits two people to the 1970’s disco themed “Friday Night Fever” Chamber Raffle Bash.

Seacoast Property Watch earns accreditation

STRATHAM — Seacoast Property Watch has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association. Optima Dermatology to open in York, Maine

Sanford Springvale Chamber welcomes Jass Boxing

BERWICK, Maine — The Sanford Springvale Chamber Ambassador Committee visited Jass Boxing gym with a ribbon cutting ceremony recently. Jass Boxing is a non-profit organization partnering with neighboring youth outreach programs teaching life skills such as respect, self-control, discipline, self-esteem, and physical fitness through boxing. They offer the opportunity for disadvantaged youth and adults to improve on these skills with other local youth programs making Jass Boxing a prerequisite to complete their programs. Participants are encouraged to maintain healthy habits, and some have continued boxing long after completing the outreach program.
