Central Jersey towns share millions in infrastructure grants. Here’s what’s planned

Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration announced $150 million in grants to 540 municipalities across the state for road, bridge, safety, and quality-of-life improvements.

The competitive Municipal Aid grant program attracted 595 applications from 540 different municipalities with a total of $375 million requested.

More than 41% of the funding, $61.9 million, is going to 176 municipalities with CompleteStreets policies. Another $22.2 million is being awarded to 56 communities where the projectmeets equity criteria to benefit low-income and minority populations.

The grants are administered by the New Jersey Department of Transportation Division of Local Aid and Economic Development.

Following are the Central Jersey municipalities receiving funding:

Hunterdon County
