LAKEWOOD — Four girls have advanced to the semifinals after the first day of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Tennis Singles Championships on Thursday at the Lakewood YMCA.
Nella Darrell-Sterbak of Fredonia, Myla Brainard and Riley Farrugello of Falconer, and Eden Ludwig of Chautauqua Lake will battle it out to see who represents the CCAA next week at the Section VI Tournament. While all four won in straight sets yesterday, only three will advance to sectionals.
Saturday’s third round will pit Darrell-Sterbak against Brainard, while Farrugello will take on Ludwig.
