WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) – – Children in Cadillac got to shop with local law enforcement this week as part of Cadillac police department’s ‘Shop with a Cop’.
The annual ‘Shop with a Cop’ took place on Thursday at the Meijer in Cadillac.
12 students from local elementary schools got an escort to the store from the Cadillac police department where they bought Christmas gifts for their families.
The kids shopped with officers from the Cadillac police department, troopers from Michigan state police, and deputies from the Wexford Sheriff’s office.
The shopping was followed by dinner and a show from Guard Strong, a group that presents a positive message with feats of strength, while presents were being wrapped by a group of veterans from the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
